Aside from damages due loss of income,  moral damages and reimbursement of attorney’s fees that a victim’s family might get from an erring bus company, it is also entitled insurance money up to Four Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php 400,000.00).

This is based on the Passenger Personal Accident Insurance (PPAI)  program, administered jointly by the Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and the Insurance Commission.   Board Resolution No. 076 Series of 2018 approved on September 21, 2018 provided a new schedule for PPAI Benefits as follows:
